McCain and Obama on Wildlife Issues, or Not

Discovery News
You have to dig deeply to find any comments from either McCain or Obama on specific wildlife issues. It's again a reflection of public concerns, which trickle down to the press and to the candidates. And yet, Joe the Plumber everyperson pays more for food, suffers greater health risks and faces an uncertain future due to what happens on a daily basis to non-human animals the world over. The current collapse of the billion dollar fishing industry and diseases like avian influenza and AIDS are just a few examples. (For more information on animals, ecosystems, climate change and human disease, check out The Wildlife Conservation Society's deadly dozen.)

Healing

Good Morning I wanted to mention the layout and purpose of this blog which is to communicate, entertain, and enlighten one another. When you look on the right you will see permanent information and photos, under that is a list of archives plus the fun stuff which will change time to time like games, you tube videos, photoshop blogs etc, and on the very bottom are cells which contain art, science, and movies. I hope everyone enjoys this site as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. If there are any other gadgets you would like to see let me know (( Keep It Clean )), rude and gross commentary's will be deleted. In saying that I also want let you all know how I am doing.

To all my friends I am healing well after my fall. I have a cast now which is somewhat more comfortable than the splint that I had at first in that I can type better and help the other hand do simple tasks. In my quiet time I have been forced to look inward and through this process of self reflections, plus being on the mercy of family and friends I thank God every day for all my friends and family plus all my blessings that I have taken for granted. Thank You one and all and God Bless.

WOW here is a must read

AFP – US President-elect Barack Obama speaks to the press in Chicago. Obama said he would act "swiftly" …

WASHINGTON – It popped out casually, a throwaway line as he talked to reporters about finding the right puppy for his young daughters.

But with just three offhanded words in his first news conference as president-elect, Barack Obama reminded everyone how thoroughly different his administration — and inevitably, this country — will be.

"Mutts like me."

By now, almost everyone knows that Obama's mother was white and father was black, putting him on track to become the nation's first African-American president. But there was something startling, and telling, about hearing his self-description — particularly in how offhandedly he used it.

The message seemed clear — here is a president who will be quite at ease discussing race, a complex issue as unresolved as it is uncomfortable for many to talk about openly.

Obama's Election How It Impacts Your Life

Good morning everyone. I am not a big blogger kind of girl however, I thought what if we kept a record of the daily changes that our newly elect President Obma makes in all of our lives. For me I have a new found confidence in the power of the U.S. people coming together to make history by not only electing a black president but also having had a female vice president in the running. God Bless The USA!!!

On this page you will fall in love with the sights of the wild side of Florida. When speaking about Florida most people think of Disney, Beaches or Hurricanes. With the help of my camera I hope to change that image you have of Florida. Our state has the most diverse wildlife habitats, from ocean fronts, lakes, wetlands, swamps, pine forests and more. My mission is to help you fall in love with Florida and help preserve these wonderful creatures. Take in the awesome views and leave nothing but footprints.
